Through 2024, enhancing the capacity of PNG’s public and private sectors to regulate and mitigate the effects of logging, mining, unsustainable subsistence and commercial agriculture and fishing, as well as other factors that endanger PNG’s position as one of only 17 megadiverse countries in the world. Using an incentive-based approach, we addressed the failures in cooperation and mutual support between and government institutions which has allowed drivers of threats to biodiversity grow unchecked.
